Margaret Sartor and Alex Harris on William Gedney Panel at Howard Greenberg Gallery February 10

Two artists represented by Ann Stewart Fine Art will participate in an upcoming panel discussion about photographer William Gedney at the Howard Greenberg Gallery in New York City.

Panel Discussion:
Wednesday, February 10th, 6:00 pm–8:00 pm

Seating is limited.

Participating Panelists:

Peter Galassi, former cheif curator at MoMA

Philip Gefter, author and photography critic

Lisa McCarty, curator at Duke University

Margaret Sartor, professor at Duke University and editor of What Was True by William Gedney

The panel will be moderated by Alex Harris, professor at Duke University.


An exhibition of influential photographs by William Gedney made in Kentucky and across the U.S. in the 1960s and 1970s will be on view at Howard Greenberg Gallery from February 5–March 19, 2016. William Gedney: All Facts Eventually Lead To Mysteries will include the artist’s intimate portrayals of out-of-work coal miners and their families in rural Kentucky, hippie culture scenes from San Francisco, and his lonely-streets-at-night pictures from his travels around the U.S.
